Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress, known for parts in the film Hum Aapke Koun. She first began her career acting in the late 1980s. Her fame was boosted by the film Tezaab starring the veteran actor Anil Kooor. She next appeared in the film Dil in which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she began learning to dance from a very young age. When she was a teen she started acting, and struggled for years as the majority of her films at first were unsuccessful. The actress gained fame and was one of India's leading film actresses. The actress took a hiatus from her profession following her marriage before returning to the world of entertainment. She was recently one of the main characters in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was awarded fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which she took home eight. She was also honored with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Social work by her is known to the world.
